Our Rainbow Baby

“A rainbow baby is a baby who is born after a parent loses a child. It is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it does not mean the storm never happened or that we are not still dealing with its aftermath. It means that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of colour, energy and hope.”
Matt and I are delighted to announce the safe arrival of our third son, Henry James, born on Thursday 10th October 2013 at 5.19am, weighing 7lbs 14oz. Our beautiful and precious rainbow baby is finally in our arms and we are so in love with him. There are no words to describe the joy we felt when he was born into this world with loud cries, it is a moment we will always cherish. We’re spending our early days with him marvelling at his perfect little face and enjoying plenty of cuddles! Thank you to everyone who kept us in their thoughts and prayers during my pregnancy, each and every kind word and sentiment brought us comfort and helped us through the difficult times.

    Congratulations! Your son is so gorgues! I gave birth also one day later 11/10/13 my second , my first son was born 12/10/13. It's funny, like I gave a rendezvous two year later for my second child. I wish you all the happiness! Cherish every moment because time flies and they grow up really fast.
